Whether this spring break is spent on a beach soaking up sun or spending time on the ski slopes, it has to be more interesting than just staying home. But depending on where you decide to go for spring break can make the difference between a fun time and an unforeseen headache. Simply picking the right spot can be difficult. So for those of you who have not yet booked your vacation, let us suggest a few destinations we’d recommend trying out this year.
A majority of the beaches being flooded this spring break are in sunny Florida, the top four being Vero, Pensacola, Jacksonville and Palm Beach. Other top beach spots can be found in Hawaii or California. Honolulu and San Diego are exciting, less crowded and offer plenty of sun, fun and relaxation. If distance isn’t an issue and you have your passport in order, Mexico, Nassau, Ibiza or Jamaica are all also some of the top destinations for students. Different groups offer packages to most of these locations, which can take care of everything from your airfare, hotel, activities and social outings. It’s a great chance to let someone else do the planning and sit back and enjoy the trip.
If you hate the idea of sand in your toes, but still love fun in the sun, then need not worry, many students take to the slopes for spring skiing at top resorts. Whistler Blackcomb is one of the most popular ski resorts in the world. It has enough runs to keep you busy all morning, plenty of Apres Ski spots for the afternoon and enough nightlife to keep you going into the evening. If Canada isn’t on your radar, other popular spots can be found in Lake Tahoe, Utah, Colorado, Vermont and the European Alps. For those of you on a budget, you’ll find plenty of deals along the way as well, as many of the ski resorts offer great promotions during spring break.
So with only a few weeks left to plan, start booking now. With all the options out there, we are sure everyone will find what they are looking for to guarantee a fantastic spring break!
